This picture shows our English Barn before our conversion.

In 1980, we found the ideal home for our “stud” in Send, hence Send Court Spanish Arabians Stud.

We are situated 5 miles South of the South downs, near Newlands Corner, and within 30 minutes of everywhere, London, Heathrow, and Gatwick. We are also 1 hour from the sea, and from the Cotswolds.

We live in a converted English Barn which is situated amongst our other buildings.

Our stud is located in a one mile hollow, open to the South. A close buff to the North protects us from the North winds. The horse breeding is protected in this environment from the worst of the weather. Our immediate fowling barn is protected by the close proximity of several  other barns.

Our views are across meads and rivers. We are next to an old Norman church and in Spring and Summer, hawks nest in the Belfry.  The geese fly 40 feet overhead between day feeding and night roosting. A tangible peace hangs in the air. The view of the sunsets are un-interrupted over the meads.

Our foaling barn has two large boxes.  The foaling mares are supported by Wykes foaling alarms and an auto-dialer system together with a sound and screen monitor. We actually sleep 30 feet away from the foaling barn, in our house.

Our team run the stud on a day to day basis. Back up help is available from professional specialists such as World renowned Ms. Emma Maxwell, and Ms Cloe Glover. Also quality members of the Monty Roberts group in the UK. Sue Brown, Alex Gozzi.

Louise Houghton trained our young stock up to the show standard until September 2000.
